FAQs

About preserved flowers

What’s the difference between preserved and fresh flowers?

Preserved flowers have had their sap replaced with glycerine, meaning that they don’t wilt and can last up to a year, unlike fresh flowers which usually wilt after 2-3 weeks.

Are preserved flowers artificial?

No, they are all real flowers! Their fresh look when preserved makes it hard to believe they are real and dried.

Are preserved flowers the same as dried flowers?

Preserved flowers are dried, however before they are dried they undergo a special preservation treatment where the sap is replaced by 100% plant-based glycerine and dyes. The treatment maintains the cell structure of the plants, leaving them feeling soft and retaining their natural beauty for many months.

Do preserved flowers have a scent?

Like fresh flowers, preserved flowers do have a scent. We particularly love working with preserved lavender and eucalyptus for their beautiful fragrance. The natural scent of each variety of stem is retained in the preservation process, however, this will fade over time.

Are preserved flowers eco-friendly?

Yes! Our flowers are long-lasting and can be reused time and time again, reducing waste and transportation compared to fresh-cut flowers. They are preserved with 100% natural ingredients and are fully biodegradable.

Care questions

Do I need to water preserved flowers?

No, you should NOT water preserved flowers, they do not need any water or light and should not get wet.

Can I keep preserved flowers in sunlight?

Keep your preserved flowers away from direct sunlight to keep their colour bright for longer. Preserved flowers do not need any light at all which makes them perfect for darker rooms or corners where your pot plants do not thrive.

Can I keep preserved flowers outdoors?

Preserved flowers are recommended for indoor use and would not last if exposed to sunlight and damp weather. However, if it’s a sunny day and you would like to have some preserved flowers on a dining table outside that will be okay!
